ActivForce Dev Diary #10 - July '25

This month’s updates enhance app and dashboard functionality, streamlining how clinicians capture, compare, and organise test data. iOS adds side-by-side and repetition comparisons, Android gets UI and tagging upgrades, and the dashboard brings faster filtering and upcoming data export.

ActivForce Dev Diary #10 - July '25

Smarter data. Sharper tracking. Stronger platform.

This month, we introduced key upgrades across the system — from app UX improvements to dashboard data tools — all designed to make testing more streamlined, secure, and insightful. Here's what's new and what's coming soon:

ActivForce App

iOS Updates

  • Auto-Reconnect Toggle: Disable automatic device reconnection — ideal for classrooms or other environments with heavy Bluetooth activity. Available now in the app settings.

  • Side Comparison Now Available: Easily compare left vs right test results side-by-side, directly in the app.*

  • Add Test Button: A more intuitive way to add tests from the summary screen, improving test flow.*

  • Repetition Comparison: Visualise repeated tests in one graph, with average values calculated automatically.*

Android Updates

  • UI Refresh: Strength and ROM test screens now reflect the latest ActivForce branding. Fully aligned with iOS for consistency.

  • Improved Test Setup: Streamlined interface speeds up session prep.

  • Subject Identifier: Android now supports subject tags for better organisation,  just like on iOS.

  • Test Review Graphs (Coming Soon): Updated visual feedback is on the way to help practitioners review results at a glance.

*These updates are currently only available on the iOS app. Android updates will follow soon.

ActivForce Dashboard

Track Progress More Easily

  • New Subject Selection Screen: Quickly find and filter subjects by most recent test, with a simplified layout and search bar.

Copy Test Data (Coming Soon):

  • One-click export from the dashboard — summarised test results can be copied directly into external patient management systems.

System-Wide Enhancements

40Hz Sample Rate Now Standard

All strength tests now run at 40Hz — four times the previous sample rate. This results in:

  • Higher data resolution

  • Improved time-to-peak and rate-of-force accuracy

  • More reliable results, especially in fast or high-force assessments

    • Available for all users on the new ActivForce app using a blue device.

As always, thank you for your feedback — whether from trade shows, classrooms or direct support. Your insights help shape the improvements we build each month.
