ActivForce Dev Diary #9 - June '25

Building consistency across platforms and delivering higher-quality data.

ActivForce Dev Diary #9 - June '25

This month, we’ve focused on enhancing data quality, refining the user experience and ensuring consistency across platforms. The headline update: we’ve significantly improved the sampling rate for strength testing, delivering 4x the data resolution for more detailed, reliable testing.

Other updates include expanded language support, Bluetooth compatibility improvements, and UI refinements based on community feedback.

ActivForce App

4× Sample Rate Upgrade

Strength tests in the new ActivForce app will soon run at 40Hz — up from 10Hz previously — giving users sharper, more detailed insights.

Available in the next software release (within 1-2 weeks) to all users running the new app with an ActivForce 2 device.

BLE Compatibility & AF3 Support

We’ve made important updates to the app to:

  • Ensure compatibility with the latest and upcoming Android versions

  • Improve overall connection reliability and performance in edge cases

These updates help ensure the app remains stable and responsive as Android continues to evolve.

ActivBody Account Manager

The account manager now includes all languages we support in our apps & dashboard, keeping the experience consistent across platforms.

Feedback in Focus

Test Repetitions

We’ve heard from users — at trade shows and through direct feedback — that the ability to repeat tests and calculate averages is highly valued.

We’re working on a more flexible approach than the fixed repetition setting in AF2. This could include a real-time “Repeat Test” option, and direct comparisons of repetitions and side-to-side performance in-app. (More info to come soon.)

More improvements are on the way:

  • On Android, we’re refining the test setup screen and adding test review graphs with updated visuals.

  • On the dashboard, upcoming UI and UX enhancements will align the design with our latest branding, with a cleaner data layout and improved graph visibility.

As always, your feedback helps shape what’s next — so please, keep it coming.
