Which apps & devices are compatible with ActivForce?

The ActivForce 2 device (blue colour) is compatible exclusively with the free ActivForce app, available in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
We no longer offer support for the original (orange colour) ActivForce and Activ5 devices.

Where is my order?

Upon shipment, you will receive an email notification containing your parcel’s tracking number. If you have not received this notification or cannot locate it, please contact Support by filling up this form. Please include your order number and/or email address you used when you placed the order in your inquiry.

If you are in the United States; depending on your chosen shipping method, your parcel may be delivered by UPS, FedEx, or the United States Postal Service.

Where do I download the ActivForce app?

The ActivForce app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

What shipping options are available and at what prices?

Within the United States: we offer free standard shipping that takes approximately 3-7 business days for delivery.
We offer rush shipping via UPS for $21.95, which takes approximately 1-3 business days for delivery.

Outside of the United States: orders from our official website can only be shipped within the US. If you’re outside the US, you can find the full list of our overseas distributors here.

Please note: Shipping times are approximate and are calculated according to the date and time at which your order leaves the distribution center, not from the date you placed your order.

What languages does the ActivForce app support?

The ActivForce app is currently available in English, Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, Japanese, Dutch and German.

What is the ActivForce system?

The ActivForce system consists of a handheld dynamometer and inclinometer with an accompanying mobile/tablet app and web dashboard to help professionals perform strength and range and motion testing.

Is the ActivForce system suitable for professional sports training?

The ActivForce system is optimized for physical therapists and rehab clinics. Our ActiveElite system is designed especially for high-performance athletic training and professional sports environments. Is the ActivForce device waterproof?

All items included in the ActivForce Kit are moisture-resistant, but the ActivForce 2 device should never be submerged in water. The device and accessories may be safely cleaned with a disinfecting wipe or a cleaning solution consisting of 70% isopropyl alcohol and water.

How do I view a patient’s force-to-weight ratio?

To view force-to-weight ratio data, tap the “Enter Weight to see F/W %” button on the Strength Summary screen. You will be prompted to enter the patient’s weight. Next, tap “Calculate F/W %”.

How do I swap out the various attachments?

To remove an attachment, grab and twist to the left.

To attach a different attachment, align the locking tabs on the accessory with the matching slots on the device, and twist it to the right. This locking mechanism is designed such that the attachments may be fixed at multiple angles.

How do I save and access patient data?

Patient data is not stored within the ActivForce app. However, you can save your test results at the end of the test workflow and access them any time on the ActivForce dashboard at https://activforce.activbody.com/.

How do I register and manage my ActivForce account?

You can sign up for an account through the ActivForce app. Please check out the user guide for a more detailed walkthrough.

How do I change the battery and how long will it last?

The typical battery life of the ActivForce device is 6 to 12 months, depending on environmental conditions and frequency of use when performing test measurements. For visual reference on how to replace the battery, click here.

How do I calibrate / tare the ActivForce device?

Occasionally, you may find that your strength measurements do not seem to read as accurately. If you suspect that this is the case, go to Settings, and select Calibrate Your Device.
Do not apply force before or during the calibration. This should stabilize measurement read-outs. If problems persist, please submit the form here for additional support.

How do I become a distributor?

How accurate is the ActivForce device?

For force measurements, the ActivForce device is accurate within a range of 1.4 lbs. of applied force, ± 5% of the overall applied force.
For range of motion measurements, the ActivForce device is accurate within a range of ±1° for angles measured from 0° to 33°±3% of the measured angle when > 33°.

Does the ActivForce app include any standard protocols?

No, standard protocols aren’t currently included in the app.

Can I redo a single measurement within a test series?

After performing a strength or angle measurement test, you will have the option to re-do the test. Simply select Redo Test beneath the test result window.

Can I create custom protocols?

Each test series performed with ActivForce can be customized and you may set certain default settings for strength tests. However, a group of tests can not be saved as a custom protocol at this time.
